History
Our story begins in my early teenage years, when I would spend summer and Christmas breaks visiting my uncles' stores. Those visits ignited a passion within me as I spent hours each day examining a diverse array of rugs, eager to learn about their craftsmanship, origins, and the captivating stories woven into their threads. This formative experience laid the foundation for my deep appreciation and respect for the art of rug-making.
After graduating high school, I relocated to Florida to work alongside my uncles and further immerse myself in the world of rugs during my college years. This pivotal move allowed me to refine my knowledge and skills, setting the stage for the establishment of our gallery.
After 16 successful years in the rug industry in Florida, in 2010, my wife Mahdis and I decided to pursue a shared dream by opening our store in Los Gatos. Our vision was clear: to showcase the finest handmade carpets in a gallery setting, blending ancient weaving techniques with modern design to create timeless works of art. Driven by this vision, we travel the world to hand-pick each rug, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality, design, and artistic merit. We are also deeply committed to ethical practices and proudly support Goodweave, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending child labor in the carpet industry.
